WELCOME TO DIMMIT COUNTY!

Dimmit County is a small community located in southwestern Texas which consists of five small towns:  Asherton, Big Wells, Brundage, Carrizo Springs, and Catarina.   According to the 2000 Census Asherton has a population of 1342, Big Wells population is 704 and Carrizo Springs' population was 5655.  Carrizo Springs is the county seat of dimmit county. 

All the quality of life which could be expected is here and in abundance!  People are friendly, taxes and crime rates are low.  There are many opportunities for fishing, hunting and golfing. 

Carrizo Springs schools are all striving for excellance with
the elementary grades attaining Texas Exemplorary status. 

The spiritual needs of the community are fulfilled by various neighborhood churches. 

The enthusiastic community supports a wide range of organized activities for the children of the area.   Local chapters of girl scouts, boy scouts, 4-H and FFA keep local youth involved in healthy and constructive activiites as well as Little League Baseball, Soccer, Youth Football and Basketball competitions.
